A journey through music, dance, and rhythm with legendary dancers
Venue: Hungarian House of Music – Cultural Center – Auditorium
Budapest, Olof Palme promenade 3.
Date and Time: Thursday, October 22, 2026, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
We recommend this program featuring Zoltán “Batyu” Farkas and Ildikó “Fecske” Tóth—iconic figures in Hungarian folk dance—to anyone who wishes to delve a little deeper into the world of play and creativity on the path to exploring various dance styles.
At Batyu and Fecske’s club, the focus will be on creative play with the basic techniques of movement, rhythm, and dance involved in learning the dances of the peoples of the Carpathian Basin! The emphasis is always on breaking down movements into their basic elements and engaging in creative rhythmic, kinetic, and spatial play with those elements. Their approach: playfulness and a step-by-step approach.
